Growing up both my family and my Grandparents home was always decorated with the traditional colors of Christmas, the reds and greens. I always wished there was more bright colors for the decorations, and now that I finally have my own space to decorate, I went wild and love how it turned out! I mixed some fabulous prints from the best Etsy shops as well as some DIY projects I made on my own.
I had a whimsical ceramic home village on my shelf, these are ceramic house I bought from Target a few years ago and painted, I also added some glittery faux snow to the roof tops and bases.
On the entire wall behind the art and village I made some hot glue and glitter snow flakes, this time around I just used silver glitter, next time I might try rainbow colors for the snow flakes.
I found these beautiful bottle brush trees at Hobby Lobby, and the little trees and presents at Walmart.
I wanted to make another village of colorful homes below so I used neon construction paper to make a little paper home villaege, I cut the shapes and mixed and matched the colors. Then cut out the windows and drew a door knob on each one.
I love colorful Christmas trees, so I made some rainbow pom pom Christmas trees with a Styrofoam base and just glued them on.
I mixed solid wood and colorful beads for some whimsical garlands above the village. And found some tinsel mini trees at the At Home store. Once of which I made a little pony bead garland for.
The adorable and colorful wooden homes you see below the pom pom tree are from one of my favorite artists Valentina Designs, she creates beautiful art prints and custom painted art pieces too, I also have two of her duvets for our bedroom that I love.
The Holly Jolly Christmas is from Harmony Art Boutique
Christmas Cheer is from Cat Bone Design
The colorful clip art and Love and Joy art is from MissTiina
The Weary World Rejoices is from The Art and Soul Shop
The little colorful tin birds are something I picked up at a gift shop, they are handmade in Mexico. I also put jars of rainbow items on the shelf to add some texture.
I was so thrilled with how this colorful Christmas gallery wall turned out, it brought our family so much joy to see it each day.
